S just got accepted. Just like his dad, mom, sister, uncle and sister-in-law. We bleed blue. We all in state. My hats off to you OOS folks. That is REALLY an accomplishment
Accepted OOS
When I clicked view financial aid it doesn’t say anything. It just says no information or something along those lines.
Accepted! In state, but also accepted to BU, Northeastern, and DePaul (with great scholarships to each). Needless to say I have some decision making to do.
Accepted OOS
I believe most EA people received financial aid (on ConnectCarolina) the week after they received their decision. Some, of course, had to send in additional forms and then financial aid was posted in their ConnectCarolina in the financial aid section soon after.
I was waitlisted OOS after being accepted to BU, Northeastern, and given a full ride to Villanova. Is it possible that financial aid played a part? If so, is there any possible way I could notify admissions that I would attend even at full admission cost?
My GPA is a 99.5 W, 94.5 UW, 1360 SAT, with stellar essays and solid EC activities. Im aware it was a reach, but Id still love to get into my dream school.
Hey guys, Ive been accepted and all, but if I hit that confirm acceptance button, does it bound me to the college. Is that the commit button?
Accepted OOS!
GPA: 3.73UW 4.44W (24/738)
ACT: 32
SAT II: Didn’t send
Extracurriculars: lots of volunteering, in two volunteering clubs, ran track freshman and sophomore year, Model UN, tutoring, a few others
Suuuuuuper excited; was also accepted at Georgetown, Emory, University of Pennsylvania, and waitlisted at University of Virginia
I really feel like it was mainly my supplements that got me in. I thought they were really bold and thought provoking so for anyone applying in later years I encourage you to go for it, even if you feel like your stats aren’t as good as some of the really brilliant students here on CC.
Accepted OOS! So excited. I hope to get the Carolina Covenant, so as soon as I hear from financial aid, assuming it is affordable, I will be a Tar Heel!
S waitlisted OOS, not particularly interested, but surprising since compared to other people who got accepted he has a lot more going for him. gpa UW 4.0, W 4.8, salutatorian of engineering program at his high school (would be valedictorian of the regular class), Eagle scout, Captain hockey team, club and high school hockey since age 7 including trip to high school nationals, many honor societies, act 32.
He is accepted to UVA and Carleton college in Minnesota, but probably will pass to take a chance on playing hockey in college. Only applied as they were listed as one of the top public universities so not really upset.
Hi everyone,
So i freaked out when i saw i was waitlisted and accepted it super quick without reading what it said. Now it doesn’t let me go back and read the letter. Did any of you screenshot it or have a copy of it?
rejected, international. SAT 1480, Math2 800, WGPA 4.47, UWGPA 4
@Bonedoc63 that is literally what many of these applicants look like. I really don’t mean any offense so please don’t take it personally but your child is just like many of the children applying to these selective schools. I have met some pretty amazing people whose accomplishments are unfathomable. Just keep that in mind and try not to brag so much because many people are just reading identical profiles.
Rejected OOS, not surprised
Son, accepted after surprising regections. Out of state, aka OOS 35 SAT, 1590 SAT a lot of good things in his High school life, he used to be a happier kid that worked his butt off in school, until this unbelievable college application process. He is happy to be accepted to the great schools of UNC, BUand UM with a merit scholarship and he hopes for the best in the next 2-3days. This process is brutal. Remember that you can’t be defined by the subjective opinions of others. You will succeed.
if you’re comfortable with it, would some of the wait listed people who are considering accepting their spot on the wait list like to post their stats and if they’re in state or oos?
My D was rejected OOS to UNC, although accepted to IS UMich; OOS to UofVirginia and UofWisconsin-Madison.
Good luck to all in your future academics wherever you all decide to go! I know my D is glad this process is over, now it is just a matter of a final decision. Cheers!
Can some IS folks who got accepted yesterday post their stats? Thank you and congrats!
waitlisted OOS
