@waiting2022 my son has not received the email about submitting mid year grades yet. We have been wondering about it as well.
Son got the mid term grade email today.

@twogirls They were $400 below my FAFSA EFC, but the area where we live is extraordinarily expensive and my parents have a huge mortgage payment, which is reflected on the CSS (I guess they didn’t really look at it for me) I am submitting an appeal about that, and then also explaining my special circumstances for this year. It doesn’t look like UNC is going to be possible for me at all right now unless I want to take on $80,000+ in student loan debt or miraculously get the Robertson scholarship.
@lesjubilants … a huge mortgage payment will not qualify you for a reconsideration. You mentioned other special circumstances… I would call and ask about that specifically.
@twogirls My dad’s unemployed, so that’s the special circumstance. Otherwise I asked the financial aid office to give me my full federal Stafford loan amount (which they didn’t originally) and emphasized that I can pay, at max, $30,000 a year.
^ you need to call and discuss this with them… tomorrow. You will have to pay your EFC… but with unemployment maybe they will do a reconsideration… depending. I would call.

@ivakk I was also selected for verification and have not heard back about financial aid
i also filled out a verification form and have not heard back. does anyone know when we will? also when will we find out if we are covenant Carolina scholars ?

Has anyone received anything in the mail from UNC? Usually colleges send the admission letters in the mail as well as online
My D received her acceptance letter in the mail today. She got her Honors mailed letter earlier this week.
