PJMamma did you audition with the music department?
@dkahfdfhk the 28% on Naviance is school specific, not statewide or for the entire country. Itâs just harder to get in from Mecklenburg. My S had a 1350 and a 4.4, was a legacy, and didnât get in. Hoping for better results for my D.
@chb088 thatâs odd. It comes up as 27% for my school but 33-40% have been admitted (via accepted/applied)
@dkahfdfhk I know what you mean. I noticed that on my daughterâs Naviance too. It didnât match up for other colleges either. Based on that I figured the percentage on Naviance must be overall⌠??ââď¸
@ncmom1011 I agree
Naviance percentages are for several years
@chb088 ok but no one from my school has gotten into Harvard except for one athlete maybe a while back but there is still a percentage listed for it. The compare me feature enables you to compare yourself to peers but the percentage listed is for general admissions.
Yes.
@dkahfdfhk There is a place for overall percentage and a different place for your school. Plus if I do the math, I can tell only 27-28% get in from here. Never has it been the 48% that is the in state average.
At my daughterâs school, the number of applications compared with the number of acceptances for last year was 40%. Not the state average, but also not the overall rate of 27% either.
@ncmom1011 what county are you in? If only 27% are getting in from my county and the state average is 48, then there must be a county or two where more than average get in?
Iâm hoping I get in. My school in FL is a feeder of sorts. In the last three years, 40-60% of people who have applied have gotten in.
Hey guys im kinda confused on how the county stuff works? How does the county your from affect the decision? For example im from Pitt county which is Greenville or where ECU is located
@chb088 How do you find what percentage of your county gets in?
From a high school in Chapel Hill on Naviance: 2018 # applied 182, accepted 73; 2017 # applied 172, accepted 86; 2016 # applied 161, accepted 87.
Thatâs over 40% each year!!
@millanenium do what southbend did and look on Naviance. It tells you how many apply and how many get in each year. From my kidâs high school, 158 applied last year and 43 got in. Other years are similar.
78/198 2016
80/235 2017
83/251 2019
For our school
@chb088 I am in Mecklenburg. I think it must be that while a county percentage might be lower, the schoolsâ percentages within the county must not be equal.
Mine was in mecklenburg as well
This naviance stuff really confusing⌠how do i navigate this
