UNC Class of 2023 EA Discussion Thread

That is .01%?

And I thought there were around 27,000 applicants?

That’s in general guys, including regular decision.

@stuckinthefuture Thanks. I took my post down. It’s very weird that they’d post that to their blog (including an email about who to contact if you don’t see your decision) if they actually haven’t posted the decisions yet.

@spacebunsweetie 45000 is Regular Decision + Early Action total

no it’s 10% @spacebunsweetie

Oh

oops you right

44500 APPS, 4200 accepted, 83% (3486) mandated in state, leaves 714 for OOS. Horrible odds for OOS, luckily my son has gotten into a couple of top colleges already.

really shaking now, still nothing new on portal

Blog on UNC website confirms it’s coming out pretty soon, be ready. Must be just going through the process of posting them on the portal right now!

anyone brave enough to call admissions? thats not for me lol

@Jm6844 you’re reading that wrong. Class of 4200, not accepted 4200. Meaning more than 4200 will be accepted.

@Jm6844 4,200 is the number of people who enrolled. IDK their yield, but they accept far more people than that.

The link to the blog posted before was manipulated to make you think it was updated. Go to UNC’s page yourself and check undergraduate admissions and you will see it has not been updated since Jan 23.

Does anyone know what time the decisions usually come out?

Not the case. The blog was updated on Jan 25th - today. See the big orange square next to the post?

Update guys, they moved the decision post to the main page. I would be prepared in the next hour

3:35 pm 2018 and 4:53 2017.

They have to release before 5pm because business hours.
