UNC Class of 2023 EA Discussion Thread

One daughter in, waiting for word from other. Congrats to those in, and if you didn’t, there are many other great choices. UNCG and UNCW have both impressed me. Went to W today and loved their honors program.

Accepted OOS

I was waitlisted OOS, no surprise there… Congrats to all who got in!

Still in shock. Not even a waitlist

S got in. 1490 SAT, 34 ACT, 3.96 UW Wake county.

@dkahfdfhk same here

WAITLISTED… heart broken.

@xannyphantom Best of luck man, but I wouldn’t hold much hope on the waitlist. There’s very rarely any movement and if there is, it’s based off random lottery. I’m sure you have plenty of other amazing options by now, I’d be looking into those and locking down something.

Accepted! With a 1310 and 4.34 :slight_smile:

ACCEPTED :^)
1500 SAT, instate, 4.5 WG

My son was denied. OOS. 1560 SAT, 4.13 GPA, Math 2 Subject test 800, Physics Subject test 800, Chemistry Subject test 780, AP Chemistry 5. Good EC’s. What else is UNC looking for? Now I’m MAD.

I am so depressed rn… waitlisted OOS is a terrible feeling

It’s crazy hearing all these high stats people getting denied. I have a friend who made a 21 on the ACT who got accepted. I think Counties play a huge role as we are both from rural Sampson county.
