<p>SO last night i got deferred from unc.
i have weighted GPA of 4.55 and unweighted of 3.61. top 10% of the class of 554.
my sats are kind of low with 1790. but i have lots of extra curricular, some leadership. i also have a job. I also feel like my essays werent that strong as i thought they should be.
one of my friend who has almost the same if not a little better got in. i know people with with worse grades and gpa that got in but i didnt.
i just want to know what my chances are to get in from the deferred list.
my previous semesters grade are:
AP Chem: A
AP Calc AB: A
AP Environmental Science: B
English IV Honors: A</p>

<p>I feel your pain. I know people from my school with lower stats that were accepted. Are you in state?</p>
<p>yeah i am. its really sad actually. my back up is state which i already got into but i really want to get in unc as well</p>
<p>State is my backup too. I was already accepted to there, Wilmington, Charlotte, and App…this is my first denial, even though it’s not really a denial. People do get in after being deferred, so don’t give up hope (I keep telling myself this but it isn’t working very well) :)</p>
<p>Yeah, I saw that too. The part that kills me is waiting till March. I’ve decided that if I’m rejected in March, I will just make plans to attend State and possibly transfer. I had some friends last year who were in the same situation (were planning on transferring) and they actually love State…so…who knows.</p>
