Me too wondering same thing!

I think the legislative cap is 18 percent but you are right it is typically less than that.

what were your stats? Major, ACT/SAT, GPA, AP’s, EC etc…

Did she have a lot of AP classes? Assume so?

Only just checked my portal and had the shock of my life. Accepted and also offered honors Carolina and the accelerated research program!!!

International student (UK).
4.0 UW GPA (7 A *s and 3 As at GCSE, predicted 4 A *s at A-level).
Didn’t submit test scores

Still completely in shock. There are so many absolutely amazing students on this thread who seem way more deserving than I am.

I was pretty set on Baylor before tonight but looks like I now have a decision to make!!!

Hi! My GPA was a 4.0 UW 4.9 W at the time of applying, I applied as a poli sci major, and I submitted 3 AP tests (5 APUSH, 5 Seminar, 4 World History) but have taken 9 including this year. The best part of my app was my ECs, writing, and I had amazing rec letters. My teachers did a really fantastic job with them!

D also accepted OOS. We are still in shock!

if you accept the waitlist, and then get in later, do you have to go?

D also accepted OOS and out of the country, too.

We are thrilled.

Does anyone know if scholarships may be awarded after the acceptance letter is sent?

Congratulations to everyone with good news today, and best wishes to those who were disappointed. This stuff is rough.

We are super thankful that our OOS was accepted tonight! It’s one of his favorites!
HIs stats are solid:
36act
4.6w, 4.0uw, 17 APs
two 800 subject tests
10,11,12th class president, team captain, service leadership etc etc etc,

but we are a little bummed that he didn’t seem to get honors? Any chance that might come out later? Definitely don’t want to diminish the incredible honor of being invited OOS, but shoot… he was kind of in love with the Honors College.

We’d appreciate any insights on honors & merit $$$

I’m pretty sure it’s not binding!

As the original author of this thread, I just wanted to offer profound thanks to everyone for making the wait both tolerable and interesting.

Fellow acceptees-- would anyone be interested in a group chat? (or does anyone know of one?)

To those waitlisted or rejected-- some of the most amazing people I know received waitlists or rejections today. It is not a reflection on your potential or character. I wish all the waitlisted folks luck and remember that many of us acceptees will also get rejections from other schools-- it’s a part of the process! We will all get through this together (and get our COVID vaccines, which is arguably the most important part of this year for c/o 2025)!

Much gratitude

I’m dying to visit campus! I had my April visit last year cancelled and being from the UK I’m not sure I’ll be allowed to visit.

P.S. Was about to ask where you were from before seeing the username, haha

I would love to join a group chat! I am sure there will be multiple formed very soon on the various unc2025 instagram pages. If you make one, let me know!! :))

If you are chasing merit, then UNC is tough… maybe first gen and other hooks. 36 ACT will do your son good at other schools though.
