Unc Gpa

When it asks my GPA should I use weighted or unweighted?
I have both and both scales used, and my gut says to use weighted since it doesn't specify but do they have a preference?

I think it's unweighted, and plus it doesnt really matter cause they're gonna get your transcript. so if I were you, I'd put unweighted now, they're still goin to look at your transcript, so either way you'd be fine.

No! they ask for WEIGHTED on the counselor form. and that is the one of the most important things they consider. chapel hill knows AP classes are a billion times harder and this way they will see the level of difficulty in classes using ur weighted gpa

what the adcom told me should be pleasing for all of you to hear.

UNC truly looks at the person overall. If you are taking difficult classes, they'll understand your GPA. They seemed pretty lax about it and will truly see you as a person.

Everytime someone tried to ask her about average GPA's and stuff like that, she avoided the answer and just said "there are many weight scales and other factors. We just like to see the type of classes and grades in them"

so dont worry
