I haven’t committed officially yet, but I am 98% sure that I am going to UNC Chapel Hill in the fall. But I have a lot of questions that I would like answered:
- What is life like in general - is there always something fun going on? Is it easy to meet new people?
- Greek life - What is it like? Is it super intense? More specifically a sorority, since I am a girl? Also, I'm a minority so what is it like for minorities in greek life at UNC?
- Dorms - which dorms are the overall best for freshman to live in? Would you recommend living Granville or not as a freshman?
- Meal plan - Is the dining hall food somewhat good? If you don't eat at the dining hall and want fast food or coffee are there other good places to go? Which meal plan would you recommend for someone who likes to eat out a lot?
- What is the fitness center(s) like at UNC? Are they on par with University of South Carolina, NC State, Clemson, better, or worse?
- Cars - I know that freshman can't have cars on campus. Is this a big deal, or do you not even need to use your car that much? What about when you want to go home on the weekend, or want to drive to Raleigh, etc.?
- Overall, how do you like UNC? Pros/cons? Any advice?
Sorry I know that was a lot, but thank you!! I’m just trying to make the most informed decision that I can
