I’m currently a transfer student from Pepperdine who go into UNC. I’m scared of going to UNC because I’m not sure how I’ll perform academically at a prestigious school like UNC, so far it’s fairly manageable for me to get A’s at pepperdine (I have a 3.96) and I want to know how difficult it is to do like a 4.0 at UNC. As it is, I study about 6 hours a day and don’t party. I need a high GPA to get into Wharton MBA
Hey! I’m in the same sort of situation that you are. I have a similar GPA, similar study habits etc. I personally think that you’ll do fine. Pepperdine probably has similar academic rigor and classes. Getting a 4.0 is difficult wherever you go. Is there really a difference between getting a 4.0 and 3.9x, probably not. For you it seems that Wharton is the end goal, so besides GPA you also have to look at internships, job opportunities etc. all of which would contribute to you succeeding and getting into Wharton. I wouldn’t stress about it too much. If GPA is the only thing that matters to you, stay at pepperdine, you seem to be succeeding there, plus it’s hard to beat malibu and california. Good luck with your decision, just remember that GPA or grades shouldn’t be your only factor if you’re deciding to transfer.
unless you’re an NC resident and would get in state tuition. Seems like as long as the major is appropriate why not stay where you are doing well
