Does anyone know when we hear about financial aid? Scholarships? Just occurred to me that I can’t afford UNC without some form of aid.
For those of you accepted, what other schools are you applying to, and have you heard back from them? Just curious!
Your financial aid package should be ready within a week or two unless more information is requested through connect Carolina. In our experience the figure is exactly our EFC and it is approximately 1/3 loans and 2/3 grant with some work study as well. We qualified for a laptop grant as well.
Please how do I access the connect Carolina page?
*how do I sign up?
@Proffylolly They sent me a temporary pin on Jan. 22 through email to choose a new password and set up my portal. Then, I was able to access the MyCarolina portal to look at my status update. Maybe go back through your emails and see what they’ve sent you?
Thank you very much. So is the connect Carolina the same as connect Carolina?

Okay, I found what I’m looking for. Thank you @seagreensoul and @Mcunn226

In-state son was waitlisted. Wow, it seems that a lot are waitlisted. Yikes!
What are the chances of getting off of the waitlist?
According to previous years that UNC has posted, it looks like roughly 5%.
Last year 1,733 NC residents were offered a spot on the waitlist and 857 accepted a position. 13 ultimately were admitted, or an overall rate of 0.5%.
@RisingBird99 Great stats, what probably separated him from me would be Legacy. Ugh.
