UNC Rising Sophmore...Hello Everyone!

Hello!

After a few years lurking around these boards as a guest, I decided to become a member and I am here to meet all you fellow tar heels and willing to answer any questions about UNC :)

I just finished my freshman year and it has been quite an experience (too long to describe haha) I an OOS from NY and I am a Political Science/Sociology Major on the Pre-Med Track.

Hope to talk to you all soon! :)

How competitive is premed at UNC?

Hey, I'm from NY too. What part are you from? And what was the best part of your year?

I know that starting august 18th we can drop/add classes to our schedule if we didn't like our schedule from ctops. Basicly, is this going to help much or are all the classes still going to be full? I ended up with ALL really random classes and wanted to be able to at least change a few of them and jsut wanted to make sure that I will be able to. thanks!

hey since your premed, i had a question about scheduling. Im thinking on majoring in Biomedical engineering next year and going to med school later on. however, in high school i only took one year of biology in freshmen year...and decided to take 2 years of chem, 2 years of physics (including 1 year of AP for both). im betting that a most of the people that are going premed or whatever have taken like an AP bio class in high school already, so im just wondering how much it'll affect me that i havent really had any biology class for like 3 years now (though granted i took a lot of physics and chem). Do you think its that big a deal that i didnt take AP bio, and would i be really behind everyone now?
