I see that quite a few of the people on this board are applyinig to UNC-Chapel Hill. So I was just wondering what your stats were. UNC is my top choice. But i'm feeling that I have no shot.

So here's mine...

Transfering from George Washington U
GPA: 3.2 last semester, 3.7 this semester(I sent in mid-semester grades)
SAT: 1230
EC: I was on a division 1 team at GWU

yeah I heard about all the construction. But where I was at. My dorm was about 10 feet away from construction. So drilling, knocking, and every loud noice possible was about 10 feet from my head. And I slept through it! So as long as i can sleep i'm happy.

What other schools did you apply to/what's your first choice now?

4.0 from Columbus State University- Attended in summer and then spring, fall I was at Drexel where I withdrew
800 Math, 730 Verbal, 35 ACT
E/C- all from high school mainly, ER volunteering, state champion academic teams, soccer, mock trial, leads in spring musicals

Wow...my chances of being accepted must be slim to none :(...hmmm...but I guess I have to consider that this site is FULL of "top students." Do you think that UNC will take into consideration my status as an Engineering student at Tech to compensate for my low GPA--3.44? :(

3.67 but my last two semesters were 4.0s, trying to do junior transfer. HS was 3.4/1310
I already transfered once from UGA to Unv. of South Carolina, i hope that doens't hurt me!!
I'm also a chem tutor and communications chair for my sorority but i dont think they care about ECs unless you were on an athletic team or something really really time consuming.

I am also a gw student, applying to UNC. i just got waitlisted. did you hear back yet? my stats are similar to yours, a little higher gpa, but no sports. good luck!
