You definitely can switch your major junior year. Some majors do not require you to apply in order to switch in, but there are some you must apply for to switch. UNC allows transfers up to 10 total semesters in residence. They count every block of 15 credits you earn as a semester in residence. 60 would be the starting amount for a junior but you can always stay another semester or year to finish your degree. @statetransfer

Major: history and international relations
2 letters of rec, one from a very nice TA In one of my history courses.
EC’s: lots of varsity sports in high school, academic tutoring programs, president of robotics club, did a service program in weeks before college, drove food deliveries to women’s shelter through the Bu office of community service, active in running club.
My essays were quite good and checked over by teachers. (I also recycled them from the previous year with some edits haha)
I did not apply the year before.

@heyigotnoclue @Lfriel I applied to KF as an OOS 4yr student and was rejected. By the looks of this forum, it seems they accepted very few. I was decently qualified (3.94 GPA, 1360 SAT, good EC’s) but I would assume they were looking for outstanding applicants.

@ppatel9346 I think that is the case. Originally I thought I did not get accepted because I have completed too many credits but I really do think that there were only 20 or 30 spots and very few people got admitted. Makes me wanna hit myself that I didn’t apply to college of arts and sciences but then I would not truly be happy with not having a business major
@heyigotnoclue Just keep your head up. It hurt a bit when I was rejected but I know I’ll end up in the best place for me and I’m sure you will too.
