UNC Transfer Fall 2020

On connect Carolina student center there should be a drop down bar, select transfer of credit and it will be there if they have yours up yet.

My transfer credits were just posted on connect Carolina under “internal transcript”

@Heyyyyyy I don’t see my transfer credits yet, did you get an email about it? Or did you just see it appear?

I also haven’t say my transfer credits yet. I really hope I can get that by the end of today bc the registration day is tomorrow, and most of my planned courses have prerequisites.

Hey, I’m still waiting on my transfer decision. Apparently, they were missing some files for my application, and they decided to inform me 3 days before the initial release of decisions. Anyways, they received the file they were missing this morning. Do you guys think I’ll have a decision by tomorrow? I’ve already been accepted into State & UGA, but I’m still waiting on Carolina in order to make a final decision on where to attend by the end of the week.

@uncblue22 I never got an email or anything, I just happened to check and they were there

That’s a pretty weird situation. I thought they have made all transfer decisions on that day. Not to discourage you, but I would honestly say don’t have high hope regarding the decision; however, good luck!

I pressed generate internal transchript and it says that I have nothing that transferred. That can’t be right because I looked at a pdf that UNC has showing transfer equivalencies between my current university and UNC and I have taken classes that transfer over for my major. Is this how it looks for anybody else??

I got an email saying my final decision would be delayed. I called them and they told me that the delay wouldn’t affect my final decision. Hopefully, I find out tomorrow! At this point, I just want to know what’s happening so I can make a final decision on where to attend lol.

Daughter got transfer credit report report last week but not posted into the system when she went to register this am. Thus pre reqs not posted and she couldn’t get into classes she wanted. According to UNC advising the admissions dept has to manually enter that data so there can be a delay in getting transfer assessment. STEM classes will not enroll you without pre reps being posted.

I called them to inquire about the process but didn’t seem like the Admissions rep understood what was happening. She passed my concern to the Transfer person within the Admission office. Thought Id pass along…frustrating!

has anybody else gotten their transfer credit report, and if so, where do you find it?

@babyblue79 I got my transfer credit report a few hours ago. Check your Connect Carolina and click on internal transcript to generate the report.

I am in the same boat as another poster, my application seems to be in abeyance because my fee waiver was denied. I am quite upset about this because the FAFSA I had to file this year takes into account the semester I took off from school where I was working full time… which has yanked my pell grant away from me. I am not sure how to get the fee waived now.

Additionally my application is still being marked as incomplete because of some transcript from high school years ago where I had a dual enroll course… which is specifically listed on my high school transcript, but they want a transcript from the early college where I never actually took a course at. UNC already has this transcript but they said I have to send ALL transcripts again even if I haven’t been in high school in years. This school doesn’t do parchment, clearinghouse, etc and I have no way to get the transcript due to COVID-19.

I have already paid 60$ sending transcripts to UNC currently because they lost one of them. I am wondering if I should just give up on UNC at this point.

@FarmerBoi
I feel your frustration, I was in a similar situation too. I completed my high school in Nigeria and couldn’t get my transcript because of COVID-19. I almost gave up on the school because of how frustrated I got from trying to make them understand. Try contacting the Senior Assistant Director, Olivia Miller. She might be of help if you email her and explain the situation. This is her email address: onmiller@admissions.unc.edu

Anyone get financial aid yet?

Yeah got the covenant.

Hey guys! I have an update! I was waitlisted because of being out-of-state accidentally due to some RDS problems. I was finally able to get it instate and submit an appeal. Today I got my ACCEPTANCE! Thanks for the recommendations on what to do. I hope the rest of you guys get in as well the best of luck.

Congratulations!

anyone else not gotten their credit evaluation yet?

no credit evaluation and no financial aid package >_>
