<p>Can someone please explain this to me? I got deferred. I know several students from my high school with lower sat/grades who got in. Any ideas why I didnt get in?</p>

rank 87 of 734 at competitive high school
TONS of extra circulars with community service and leadership positions consistently over all 4 years, job and law internship this year
good recs and essay
all honors/college level classes, 2 aps and full schedule no free periods
is it a lack of sports or something? I have no idea how I didnt get in but my friends with less did.... please give me any ideas on why?
Also, any opinion on chances of getting accepted after being deferred?
Under strange circumstances I'm instate for UNC Chapel Hill, chances for instate there with these stats?
