I am having a tough time deciding between UVa and Chapel Hill. As an OOS, I would have to pay $17k per year (counting loans, work study, and EFC) at both institutions. Unfortunately, I have not gotten a chance to visit either school. I intend to major in either engineering or business... does UNC offer any options for aspiring engineers? I saw that they only offer a BME major. However, Uva's business school seems a little harder to get into than chapel hill's. In terms of social life I have been reading that Chapel Hill is a little less "stuck up"... any truth to this? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

As far as I know, UNC only offers BME. In NC, NC State is the flagship school for engineering.

UVA board just approved tuition hikes (see today’s news) on website of 5.9% for OOS
