UNC vs. Vanderbilt vs. William & Mary

So I'm trying to decide between UNC, Vanderbilt, and William & Mary. I liked all three so I can't figure out which to decide. I loved the school spirit & research opportunities at UNC (plus I'm in the Honors Program). I loved the academic possibilities and strong alumni connections at Vanderbilt and I loved the community at William & Mary. I was looking for some advice/ reasons to pick Vanderbilt. I am a little worried about fitting in and the diversity at Vanderbilt, so any information/input would be awesome! I really hope that this can help me make my decision! Thanks!

Are you NC native? If you love UNC and your in the Honors program it would be tough to justify the cost of Vandy or even W&M. If you are pursuing research, I'd assume you want grad school. Save your money, work hard at UNC and go to a top grad school. Of course your mileage and $ may vary.

i'm actually out-of-state for both W&M and UNC. and cost really isn't the issue for me (all three will cost roughly the same). i'm just afraid that i might not fit in at vandy

Why, exactly, do you think you won't fit in at Vandy?

Yeah, why would you assume you wouldn't fit in?

It also depends upon what you are studying. For example UNC has no clear path for Engineering. I think that the best place for you to go is where you can develop meaningful relationships with all concerned. (Prof, students, admin) The best place for that by all accounts is Vanderbilt.

Classes are a lot smaller at Vanderbilt than UNC and William & Mary, so I'd go with Vanderbilt.
