Where should I go? Accepted to transfer into both. Which provides the better transfer experience? In regards to cost, Vanderbilt will actually be SLIGHTLY cheaper, while UNC will give me a free laptop.

I'm from NYC, went to a top 100 HS, but slacked off and ended up in my local public college. Where should I go and why?

Thanks!!

Note: Not posted in college selection, because I want to know how it is for transfer students in particular.

If you want input from students who have actually transferred to these colleges, that will be difficult because most members leave CC once they have transferred.

If you want input of what people ‘think’ are the pros and cons to each, you might ask on the ‘Official’ threads on this forum, each of the schools has one.

One thought I have is that many students at publics move off campus after fr year, that may be less so at Vandy (I’m not sure, it’s just a thought), which if true might make it an easier place to transfer to on the social level.

Why would it be easier to transfer to a place where the students live off campus? Is it because I live off campus currently?

Please reread my post, that’s not what I said.
