UNC Wilmington 2+2 program for Engineeting

Hello,

I have been accepted for Wilmington 2+2 program for engineering. I also got accepted in ECU and UNC Charlotte for Engineering. It is hard to decide. I am leaning towards UNCW as it is affiliated with NCSU. But not able to find much information on 2+2. Any pointers would help.

Thanks

Look here: <a href=“Engineering 2+2 | UNCW”>http://uncw.edu/preeng/

There does not appear to be a guaranteed transfer for meeting a specified GPA in specified course work (which appears to include distance learning courses from NCSU while enrolled at UNCW). I.e. you would have to apply to NCSU’s competitive transfer admission process like students at any other university of community college wishing to transfer to NCSU.

It looks less favorable than attending a university like ECU or UNCC where you can stay and complete an engineering bachelor’s degree, and less favorable than doing the transfer preparation at a lower cost community college that offers the transfer preparation course work (unless you get enough grants and scholarships at UNCW to make it cheaper than a community college).
