I have been accepted for Wilmington 2+2 program for engineering. I also got accepted in ECU and UNC Charlotte for Engineering. It is hard to decide. I am leaning towards UNCW as it is affiliated with NCSU. But not able to find much information on 2+2. Any pointers would help.

As long as you finish at NCSU, that would be your best deal…They are well above Charlotte and especially ECU for engineering.

About the 2+2, I guess there is not really much to it, you just take a set of courses that they deem acceptable then after they are done with a certain GPA you are an auto accept to NCSU to finish out the engineering degree. They actually do this same deal with some community colleges which would be a lot cheaper that you might want to think about.

What happens if you are not accepted to NCSU after completing those two years? This is one of the reasons my son did not apply to any 2+2 schools. No guarantees. Also, if he couldn’t get into the schools he’d transfer to as a freshman, did he really belong there. Just a though for you to consider.
