Hey! So I am a nervous-wreck about applying to Chapel Hill. I think it would be a good idea to start a thread for people applying there as well. What are the accpetance rates/ average gpa of transfer??? BAH. I'm freaking out...

Acceptance rates of transfers into UNC Chapel Hill is 41%. I don't know about average GPA, but you need at least a 2.0.

Question: I was hired to work in the Math Department after I sent in my application.. how do I inform them?

If you feel it's valid and will help your chances, you could send them a letter (either physically, or electronically) notifying them of this new extra curricular.

The admissions counselor told me last summer that the average GPA to shoot for was a 3.3...I'm pretty sure there's a thread somewhere...may be it was in the UNC forum.

so would a 3.41 from university of arizona with a 27 ACT be competitive? i did get a 3.18 in HS though(college prep school)

Hey guys! Stop freaking out...we'll all hear from UNC soon enough...(less than 2 months now). How are the nerves now? lol.

I agree with soccer guy, there's no need to freak out. There are numerous other threads on UNC already that you can research. I am not an expert on UNC.
