Hey Guys,
I’m currently an undergraduate student majoring in Journalism in Melbourne, Australia.
I’m planning to go on exchange to the US next year but need a preference from a second category and have narrowed them down to Cal Poly Pomona and University of North Carolina, Greensboro.
Some other options in the first category are San Diego State, University of Florida, Purdue and University of Maryland as well, if you have any info on those.
I basically just wanted to know which school would be more suitable regarding the following things:
- Student life - I’d like somewhere with a lot happening and a lot of school events. I’ll be 21 so some good parties too.
- I’d prefer a school where most students live on or near campus so that there are always people around, rather than one where a lot of people go home at nights and on weekends.
- Good weather - I’m from Australia where it never gets below 50 Farenheit, so not too cold! (I’ll be there September-Jan)
- Academics aren’t extremely important as it’s just a semester and I’ll probably be taking mostly electives, but I’d still like some interesting classes and lecturers, and some intelligent people to converse with!
- Wherever is better for an Australian exchange student, to make heaps of friends and have an amazing time!
Thanks!!
