Unclear About the Process

Hi, I tried contacting SFSU this morning, but their office is closed.

I received a financial aid award from the school (I haven't been admitted, yet) and it states that I need to review and accept/decline the award NLT April 8th.

I am awaiting UC decisions and will not decide on a school until after I receive all letters. Does accepting the award mean I'm accepting the admission thereto? If I decline the award and decide to go to SFSU later, does that mean I missed my chance for aid? What does this all mean and what can I do?

Any help is greatly appreciated! I can't seem to find any information on this particular question.

Well, I finally got through and the operator said that I could accept any and as many financial aid offers as I am presented, but once I make a decision I need to call the schools I am not going to attend and tell them to cancel my finaid acceptance.

Everyone else agree this is the best course of action?

When do admittance notifications come out??? Isn’t this a bit late?

Either way, contact them and request an extension because you’re waiting to hear from other schools. Don’t decline anything right now.

Of course, you can decide to accept and then change your mind about going.

They don’t have a solid date and it’s very late. I called a few weeks ago and they simply said they are behind and still in review.
