I actually have a pretty weird school situation. Right now im trying for Miami-FL as a transfer student next semester, im sitting around a 3.0 GPA so I may be reaching...although I do feel I have a strong essay and a recommendation letter from a former colleague of President Shalala. With my current situation...im afraid my credits will not transfer over. I know most schools will then ask for your HS info. My HS stats really arent stellar at all. I have an unimpressive GPA and an unimpressive SAT score. Now, in the event I have to provide HS information to them for transfer or even freshman admission, I wanted to do all I could to bolster my stats. So I signed up for the next SAT testing date. In the event I get an acceptable score back, do you think this helps any? Or am I wasting my time?

Do you think if all this doesnt work, do you find the Community College route a safe option? If I were to do this, Spring semester starts in January, which means I would have to apply at MIAMI-FL for Fall admission, and that has to be done by March. So would three months be too little time for them to evaluate my performance and potential as a UM student?

I am DEAD set on Miami...I do have fallbacks but UM is where I want to be, I mean there has to be hope for me. I am a good student and a good person...I know I can excel at UM.
