My son hasn’t heard anything yet either.
My son hasn’t heard either. We heard that two of his female friends got phone calls over the weekend saying they were accepted. One other male received a rejection via email a couple of weeks ago.
Hey guys! So there is another poll entitled “BFA Acting 2023,” and it seems that there have been a handful of people who have received an acceptance call this past Saturday evening.
Ugh, so stressful! I just want to grab my daughter’s phone and double check for missed calls or emails, lol! It doesn’t help that she’s in tech week for her senior musical and her sister’s basketball tournament is this week and they are winning at the buzzer every game. All of this stress may do me in, lol!
I agree my sons senior musical is this week also. Is your daughter in the musical and what are they performing. In a way it helps him focus elsewhere but then I’m like are you sure you have no voicemails.
She is Dolly in Hello Dolly. They did a preview last night but I missed it because of other daughter’s basketball playoffs so I am not so patiently waiting for opening night on Friday lol! This is the first year they are nominated for a state musical award. Her school has been so sport focused they didn’t even know such a thing existed until this year, lol!
What show is your son doing?
So just checked daughter’s email, nothing. But o can login to her EZArts account and see what paperwork I need to upload for aid. Does this mean anything?
Sorry, also, would outstanding financial aid documents delay the admissions process?
He is doing Adams Family this year. He is Lurch. Last year they did Rock of Ages and he was Lenny. This year they have a chance to be adjudicated. Not sure what any of this means. Has you daughter ever gone to the ITS festival in Nebraska? There are good opportunities there if her school participates.
What do you mean EZ arts account. Not sure my son even has one. He has an application portal but that is just application documents nothing to do with financial aid please explain.
@Medusa29 I have seen comments on different polls about UNCSA emailing students about their EZ arts account before they were notified of any admission decision. I believe that is has something to do with financial aid, but it seems that this has only been the case with film students.
Thanks I have been confused about that and guess I still am. I guess just keep on waiting.
That’s so cool that your son gets to do modern shows. My daughter’s school apparently only likes very old shows, lol! She would love to do something more modern!
When I snooped in her email I saw that the financial aid office had emailed her requesting additional info and included her EZ Arts account so that’s how I knew about it. No idea if it means anything.
My daughter hasn’t done anything in the way of camps or anything. I’m a single mom of 5 so no extras for her because we are broke. It has pained me that she missed out on so much but what can you do? We struggled to do half hour weekly voice lessons but that’s it. I’m grateful she has fabulous teachers at school, drama and choir, who have taken an interest in her.
No matter what happens we are grateful for the experience.
@NervousMominGA That seems like a good sign! Good luck to your daughter!
As parents we we do our best and do what we can. Hopefully that is positive news on the ez arts account. My son has gotten nothing. It’s a waiting game.
@NervousMominGA Based on my experiences with UNCSA, I definitely do not think that outstanding financial aid documents would delay an acceptance offer from the Drama Department, so no worries there! I hope you get good news soon!
Someone else got a call today and they were informed that they were on a “short waitlist.”
Has anyone received any information lately? I haven’t got a phone call yet or email and do not know what that means…
I also keep looking at my application portal and nothing is showing up.
I haven’t received anything either
