undecided at newhouse- bad idea?

I know I want to go into communications, but I do not know exactly what major. Is it better for me to put down one and change later on or just go in undecided? The problem is that I would really love advertising, broadcast journalism, magazine writing, or public relations. I could see myself doing any of all of the above.

Is it impossible to get into newhouse undecided, or does it really not make a difference?
If it helps, I have a 1400/1600 and am in the top 5% of my grade. I plan to get an interview sometime soon.

Thanks for any insight!

You have until the end of your sophomore year to declare you major and many of those majors have the same requirements, so you can go and try out a few things and then decide.

D1 is a freshman at Newhouse with an undecided major (what a shock....lol)....exactly like you...not a problem at all for admissions. As samsmom says, you have until soph year to declare.....

Her stats were similar to yours (higher SAT, little lower class rank). She interviewed in NY at Lubin House. Good luck!
