Hi,

I just got into NYU CAS for undergrad.

I am planning to visit soon but don't know much about the school itself.

My question is if you applied as undecided and say you just decide to major in economics.

What exactly is the procedure for this and how tough is it?

I’m fairly sure it’s not that hard, you just declare your major when you’re ready and that’s that.

really? but i would guess that since econ department at nyu is excellent and very popular, it would have some sort of a quota… if so there would be competition to get into the econ department, no?

If you have a good, solid GPA I don’t see why you would have trouble getting into the econ major. You don’t have to declare immediately, you can just take econ classes until you get in to the actual major as well :)

thank you radio rabbit. just wonderin are you currently attending nyu?

No, I’m a junior in HS, but I’ve spent the last two days attending info sessions for the different schools, and this came up :)
