HELP What college would you apply for at cornell if you undecided with your major? would applying undecided lower chances?

CAS; No. (10 characters)

10 characters?

College Confidential requires all posts to have at least 10 characters, so for short messages you usually see people put (10 characters) or something to that extent to fill the space.

I will confirm that; there is absolutely no disadvantage to applying undecided. I mean if you were, say, a star bio student with outstanding research in HS and applied undecided instead of a bio major that MIGHT hurt you in the sense that you wouldn't be a shoe in anymore, but outside of isolated cases like the one I just outlined, there is absolutely no penalty for applying undecided. Most students change their major from the one they intended when they applied anyway.

My daughter was recently accepted ED after applying to CAS undecided. She even wrote about that in her essay. She explaied her rationale for doing so. If you truly feel that is what you wish to do, go for it.

undecided is the most popular major in arts and sciences (and probably the most popular major at Cornell in general)
