I need a few suggestions on what to major in.
I used to want to major in journalism because I like the people in the field, but lately I've been hating writing more and more. I don't know if this is because of my awful English teacher; I could just be losing interest.
I am also an introvert. I like people, but I'm not sure if I'm the type that can just approach anyone. I'd like a job that deals with people, but I don't know how much I can handle.

I'm interested in foreign cultures and I'd like to travel, even if I can only study abroad once or twice during college.
I'm horrible at math and am not interested in science, so those majors are out.
I don't want to be rich, but I want to be able to support myself.

I need suggestions for majors to look into.

History or anthropology if you like studying ancient cultures.
International relations or political science if you like diplomacy.
Or you can major in the Hospitality industry (Hotel Management).
All of the above may allow you to travel. Or perhaps you could be a travel writer.

The International Studies major also involves learning about different cultures. It usually includes foreign languages, history, political science and economics. Most programs in IS require study abroad, so you will have the opportunity to travel. The best thing is that you will have the chance to choose among several regions / continents that interest you. If you decide to participate in a Study Abroad program, may be you will be able to hone your communication skills and to gain experience and confidence in your interaction with others. However, it is consedered as one of the majors that are difficult when it comes to professional realization.
Sociology is another option you might like to consider.
But if you really like Journalism and your problem with writing is a result of your dislike of your English teacher, you should definately give it a try. Don't give up on it just because of him. Figure out whether you can overcome the writing difficulty.
