undecided on major

I was one of those who after HS partied too much and ultimately dropped out of college. I'm in my 30's now and have mostly worked blue collar jobs.

just finished my AA at the local community college. My major was liberal arts. I was thinking of majoring in sociology for my bachelors but my last couple of sociology courses at CC turned me off the subject. What good is a sociology degree anyway? Pretty much the only way to have a career in a discipline like social science is if you have a graduate degree.

So i got to thinking..if i'm not going to have a major that can instantly transfer to the job market...something like business, marketing, accounting etc...then I might as well just go for a subject I really enjoy like English literature for my bachelors?

how hard is an english major anyway? :)

You can usually figure out the difficulty of an English degree by doing some quick formulas that calculate your Velocity of ********ting Essays.

Economics is a social science and also a part of the liberal arts, but much more lucrative than any other social science. It is the highest paying undergrad major after engineering.

See my thread for this:

If you are going into the liberal arts, but want financial stability then it’s by far the best way to go.
