Under Administrative Review... Err, What?

So I had a very busy school year and only got around to taking the SAT last month on june 5th for the first time ever. Being a junior, I probably should have taken it sooner than later, but there's nothing I can do about that anymore. Either way, it was my first time taking the SAT, and I thought I did decent. I didn't really prepare for it, but I used the basic tips I had picked up from my AP tests to work through the SAT. I skipped a few here and there, no big deal, nothing out of the ordinary.

Anyway, all my friends got their scores a few weeks ago, and I still hadn't heard anything up until the other day when I got this email.

Dear Test Taker:
We at ETS are highly committed to quality standards and fairness. After every test administration, we go to great lengths to make sure each test result we report is accurate and valid. It is with this objective in mind that we sometimes take additional quality control steps before scores are released.
For the reasons stated above, June 5, 2010 SAT scores are delayed because they are under administrative review. This review is performed in certain circumstances. We hope you realize only accurate and valid test results are meaningful and helpful to their recipients.
At the conclusion of our review, you will be notified only if there are questions concerning your scores. Otherwise your scores will be reported to you and to schools you have designated to receive reports.
If you have not heard from us in approximately three weeks from today, you can contact us by phone at 1-609-406-5444 between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern time, Monday through Friday. Our fax number is 1-609-406-9709 or we can be reached by email at tsreturns@ets.org.

Now here's the big question - Is it normal to have a test go under administrative review? lol? I don't think I did amazing, but I don't think I did bad either. Anywhere between a 1600-1900 are my estimates. So I really am not sure what the dealio is here.

Any insight would be great, thanks.

Hi there,
It looks like we have a similar situation.
I took the test on June 5th and I got the same email on the same day you did, and I emailed them yesterday regarding any updates and they replied that the scores are still under administrative review.
I wonder how long this is gonna take.

Unusual being the first time you took it. If a student scores improve a certain percentage
from the previous administration they are flagged. Perhaps a problem with the timing in your room? Or someone else’s(in your administration room) score triggerred a review of tests seated around them?

Yeah it’s my first time. i wonder what makes my situation skeptical.
What weird is that I talked to the school consular a couple of days ago and she said that the majority of the students who took the test with me had got their scores like a month ago.
The test environment was fine and perfect. I noticed nothing unusual.
BTW, I took the test in my home country before I came to the US. Perhaps this has something to do with it.
