Hi -

Thinking ahead to how to fit my D's stuff into a small dorm room. Does anyone know the underbed dimensions for Elon modular dorm furniture when set to the mid-range loft height. Height, Width and depth? Trying to figure out how much can be stored under the bed and what containers would be best.

Thanks!

I have not measured - but my son has fit his Elon-provided 4-drawer dresser under the bed. So, you can fit quite a bit under the bed - it is at chest height. I don’t know if the beds are identical in all dorms. He is in Colonnades.

My advice for any first time college parent: don’t over-think this. Bring a few plastic storage containers (or the ones with drawers) but otherwise wait and see when you get there. The two roommates will need to figure out between them how they want the room set up (and if they want to loft the beds) and you can go from there. Burlington has a nice Target, a Walmart and a Bed, Bath & Beyond - all a short drive from campus. Once you know what they will actually need you can get it then.

Exactly what Lafalum84 said.

PS: Laughing to myself because I would have measured things before my Son started but now that he is graduating - let them figure it out, it’s more fun that way.
