Under Pressure

Wow I never knew that my college choice would get this hard. I had the schools all picked out in my mind where I would go, but now everything is different. And theres no time!
Chicago:
UChicago would give me nice access to the city. It also has a nice community feel and top academic programs. I want to major in economics, but don't plan on getting a PhD. I want to go to law school or get an MBA after working in business for a few years.
I am worried about everyone saying that its nerdy and people don't party often. Also, I hear its insanse amounts of work. Plus, theres the core...

Cornell:
Gave me about 2k more per year in $. I like the campus, but my location is kind of rural now and it would be nice to change it up a little for the next 4 years. Cornell gets better job recruiters though, and is overall more of a fun school. It has a big alumni network, is well known, and has tons of offerings in courses and majors. It also has the semesters so I don't get home later than everyone else, and lets face it, more attractive girls. Cornell is also very selective. Although, people do seem stressed about work just like at Chicago.

Forget about the work load; it seems that either school will give you about the same.

That said, it seems like you're leaning towards Cornell right now. You had more good things to say about Cornell than UChicago.

Choose Cornell, you basically said it in your post...

[edit] 90th post! yeahh!

I prefer semesters but I would take Chicago based on the location. Plus, if you can't find an attractive girl in the city of Chicago, you need to raise your game player. Either choice is fine, but U of Chicago is on par with Penn and Columbia as far as Ivies go.

Academically and reputationally, Chicago and Cornell are equal. Both are giants in the world of academe and will provide you with every opportunity imaginable.

From what you say, it seems like Cornell is a better fit, and since they are peers in most other ways, I recommend you go for Cornell.
