@tlf123098 @aimlesswandering @hsstudent00 @ntardiff just for silly speculation reasons, did any of you get an FA change?
Hey everyone!
Finally found more NYU axiouw folks like me
Hey everyone!
Finally found more NYU anxious people like me
@shahniyalJaved wooooo let’s have panic attacks together!! Mind me asking to share your stats with us
Yeah
Yeah sure!
Not like they’re amazing
Yeah sure!
Not like they’re amazing
My stats:
SAT: 1780
Applied Undecided
I do the British Curriculum A levels (3: Econ, Geography, Computing)
British born Pakistani, applying from Saudi Arabia
Strengths- Essay, personality, EC’s/Work experience
Hook- SAT, not the best academia (clearly)
I think my application is more personality and EC’s based than academia, whether it’s a good thing or not I’m Not sure. NYU are holistic after all :stuckouttongue:
Accepted: Fordham, UIC, stony brook
Rejected: BU, Northeastern, Ann Arbor
How do I look? Be honest
I’ve heard that applying undecided does help the case, and makes it easier. Whether or not that’s true idk.
@SoulOverBody it’s strange- way back in February when EDII decisions were coming out, I had the original FA change (chart with 2015-2016). I had that up until the beginning of this month. I’m certain it meant absolutely nothing and was just a weird glitch, but it was still interesting. I haven’t had the housing change that everyone’s talking about, and I don’t have the “new” FA change.
@SoulOverBody no FA change, I did get a housing change though
Applied to: Stern (Business w/ Concentration in Economics)
UW GPA: 3.65? Somewhere around there
W GPA: 3.9
AP Courses: 8 total throughout high school career. Lowest grade is a B in Calc.
AP Exams: AP English Language, AP French, AP Calculus AB/BC (all pass)
SAT: 2150
Strengths: Essays, recommendation and EC’s.
Hooks: None really.
Why NYU?: Networking for sure, job opportunities, Wall Street!!
Any backup schools?: UCSB, UC Davis, University of Washington, Purdue, University of Arizona, Santa Clara
I’m not sure if I would be considered an “under-qualified” applicant, but from what I’ve heard, Stern has a very high average GPA/SAT and tends to be very selective. I really have no idea how I stand up against other Stern applicants. Anyone have any input?
@SoulOverBody no FA change :’( … I shouldn’t have checked hahaha … welp byebye to dreams.
Decisions were just emailed…or maybe just rejections cause I got rejected, but oh well. I’ve gotten rejected from a bunch of privates, but I’m falling more in love with LA. Good luck to everyone else!
@hsstudent00 yeah just received my rejection. Will probably look to transfer as soon as I have most of the money
I was actually accepted! There’s still hope for all of us at good schools
