under what circumstances would it be wise for one to take the SAT Subject's?

like just for admissions?
to show excellence in a possible future major?

I really have no clue....help lol

In the very common circumstance that one of the colleges you’re applying to requires them. Start looking at the websites of individual schools and you’ll see that plenty of them require two subject tests.

Here is a list of colleges that require, recommend or consider SAT IIs for admission: [Compass: Admissions Requirements](<a href=“SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations”>SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations)

It would obviously be “wise” to take them if the college requires them and similarly if it “recommends” them, less a necessity if the college just “considers” them. If your chosen colleges are not on the list you can essentially forget about the SAT IIs because the college does not even consider them even if you submit them with one caveat: check particular college to which you are applying to see if it uses SAT II language tests for placement after you are admitted in which case you may consider taking that test for that purpose.

Really, all you need them for are admissions. A lot of colleges require them: most require two, but a few ask for three.
