Undergrad and Graduate School Dilemma

So I am currently an undergraduate at Cal Poly Pomona (first year) for animal science towards the veterinary field. And last November I applied for the transfer application for UC Davis towards sophomore year for the animal science major because I was unable to get in for my first year. I was just so sucked into the fact of wanting to get into my dream school for veterinary so I applied. So far I am in the waiting list for Davis, they will be sending in the final decisions starting June 1st. Financially, UC Davis can be a bit of a struggle but thinking about my major, my parents support me all the way for whatever is the best route for my major.
My real question is: Would going to a prestigious/well-ranked undergrad be better or would going to a prestigious/well-ranked grad school be better?
I am not accepted into UC Davis yet but IF I was to get in, this would be a huge dilemma. Financially continuing at Cal Poly Pomona then going for a vet school would be great since I know vet school is extremely expensive. Or would it be worth risking the financial issues to go to UC Davis and going to a vet school?

Your undergrad major is not a factor for admissions, thus you do not need to be an animal science major to get into vet school. The name of your undergrad institution will have some (but not a large amount of) influence on whether or not vet schools will be willing to accept you, as they may somewhat favor students from institutions that are known to provide great preparation for health professions schools.
