undergrad econ student needs help

Hi,
I am a sophomore at northeastern and I am trying to figure out which route i should take with graduate school. I was considering just getting a masters because getting a PhD would be incredibly stressful. I am decent in math( its major also), and econ grades are in B range. I am very interested both the business and government side of the economics but I know I would need at PhD to work in The commerce department. Right now i am preparing to co-op next year to build my connection and intern the rest. I am pretty sure i will not get into the top 10 schools(I am not going to even try). The question is what jobs could i get by going to schools like (univ Rochester,Rutgers, etc) that would differ from schools like(Univ of Chicago, Havard, UCSD,etc)

answers? bump
