Hey guys im interested in doing finance. Is it worth going to a mediocre school for undergrad biz school for finance or a better school for econ. Im debating on Rutgers Undergrad Business School which is rank like 87...OR...NYU for economics and a pre-business minor. Any Ideas?

NYU, b/c its more recruited. however, going to rutgers does not leave you hopeless. this type of situation nearly always coems down to personal choice. in the end, you will be more successful where you feel more comfortable. sorry to be so vague

nah no probb it helps though thanks alot

NYU. i will also end up with econ/pre-biz in NYU.

Econ rules! so yes, I think it's better to do econ at a better school and business at a lesser school. Econ is a slightly less specific subject, too, so if for whatever reason you later decide to do something different your major will work for different fields. plus econ just rocks my socks off!
