Undergrad IB options

I'm wondering what path would be better suited for a future career in Investment Banking.

Undergrad education at U of M with sophomore year transfer into Ross for Finance,
OR
Undergrad education at UPENN's college (not Wharton), with economics degree. (Could possibly take some classes at Wharton.)

Thank You

I'd give the edge to UM.

Both are excellent, but top B schools tend to have better career offices, so I'd say Ross probably has the edge.

I would say it's about equal. Ross has tremendous ibank recruiting, but Penn (even SAS) has the employers from Wharton.

I think the path you should take is more dependent on what you want to study. Remember that economics is very different from finance.

What are the major differences between economics and finance?

Ecnomics is a very broad discipline that deals with the central issue of scarcity and how to optimaly allocate scare resources among alternative uses. Finance is primarily the study of money over time.
