Undergrad in a related field... for English Grad School?

How related does this need to be? I am guessing anything in the liberal arts? Pretty much every English program I have looked at

I am considering doing grad school in an MFA English Creative Writing program, and if not, than an MA English program.
Either are along the lines of my original love.

However I did was pushed to do the practical thing and did undergrad in Computer Science... So I am guessing this would definitely not qualify as "related" field.

I generally hate the IT field and it was a horrible major choice for me, I need to be doing something I am actually interested in as I am completely burned out.

Has anybody else done such a major switch? I am thinking I probably need to do a 2nd BA in English to qualify for any possible full/partial funding in the major, or to even get in to begin with... I could probably additionally use some professor recommendations as well since it has been 8 years since I finished originally in undergrad and don't have any contacts. I suppose I could also get some better writing samples for the applications.

Thoughts?

You could combine both disciplines! Some cutting edge people are doing research into computational lit/linguistics. The most famous forerunner of them is J.M Coetzee
