i think its going to be a blast... if you want to party you can.... if you want to meet quirky people you will... if you want to stay in your dorm then, yes, your life will suck. Its what you make of it. Its a weird school with weird peopel... and let me tell you weird people have the most fun... think of the scavenger hunt, the city, the debates you'll have.... ahhhhhhh i hope i get in.....

thanks. How is the work-load, like homework hours per week??? etc...???

Thankfully, the intellectual atmosphere does not turn on and off after classses. Ive heard the workload is okay... as in its a lot but you adjust... i think there was a mom who was talking about how her son managed to keep quite the social life while attending so its not all consuming...obviously it also depends on the classes you take

I'm pretty sure there's plently of social life at Chicago. On the side note, one impression I got is that you really have to passionate about learning to love Chicago. Cornell is notorious for its workload also, but one aspect that distinguishes Chicago from Cornell is the students' genuine love for learning - even if that means sacrifice in some social life, sleep, etc.
