Hey guys. I'm sure this has been debated much already, but every person has their own backround and I would appreciate the advice based on mine.

I'm graduating from a well-known engineering highschool in NJ with decent stats (2100, 3.7 w/ rigorous curriculum) and great E/C activities (battlebots, Orthopedic internships, etc.) I'm applying to schools right now and I'm unsure on what to major for my undergrad studies. At first I planned to major in BME, because that would leave the possible option for med school open, and if I'm unsuccessful, I could always get a MS in BME. But recently, I've been considering a degree in ChemE, which also leaves an option for Med School. And if rejected from all, I can still get a MS in BME for grad school. I'm extremely close to ruling out MechE because that basically forces me to do engineering, when I'm still excited for the fact I could possibly go to med school.

Can anyone help me with my predicament please? What would be the best path for me to take? I've heard BME for undergrad is a big mistake, due to the little request for those degrees. But keep in mind I'll be graduating in 4-6 years when the field will surely develop. Thanks again for your time
