Is there a site where one can find the undergrad college of incoming med school students for specific med schools? Or is this a secret to the "common" person?

Unless the schools say on their websites (rare), you’re not going to find it publicly available.

^^^ Thanks for the info.

You’re going to have to look at every individual med school’s site - some of them like to publish how many students in their latest class come from which schools, etc.

I found Wash U’s. They compile the last 15 years here:

[Who Chooses WU](http://medadmissions.wustl.edu/HowtoApply/selectionprocess/Pages/WhoChoosesWU.aspx)

Very telling and it’s likely to have us crossing a few undergrad possibilities off our list as they’ve never sent a student there (in the past 15 years anyway).

I don’t see Harvard’s or U Penn’s. I’m guessing they are similar though.

^Hey that list is not 100% accurate. My college is not on their list and I know of 2 people from my school that got in (and is going to attend), and I am a sophomore, so who knows how much have got in the 14 years before me lol. Weird, because some of our sister schools are on the list. IDK, I think the list is trimmed down to the major institutions in states. There are 5 colleges from my state on the list, maybe they didn’t want to show all of them.
@Creekland…defining your UG list based on if students got into a med school is not a smart approach. Especially based on 1 school that is extremely selective like WU. You can’t expect to get into WU anyway, so why not go to a school because noone from that school every attended WU? Going to Harvard is not going to increase your likelihood. Getting good grades, MCAT, ECs etc. is what is going to make someone competitive for admission. Just look for a school with a strong science department that provides support for the student, and maybe has a good track record in getting students into med school IN GENERAL. Its hard enough just to get into any med school. Being instate helps alot too for public universities fyi.

Creekland,
Go to UG which matches to you personality and all interests Medically related and others. You want to be happy there to get as high GPA as possible and not miss out in 4 years of your life. You do not want to select your Med. School now. You want to select it when you have your college GPA + MCAT score. You are doing it backwards. Your immediate goal is to have an awesome UG experience and great 4 years (the most important ones!!) of your life with memories that last forever and firends that you would look forward to see. Med. School is your goal, it is not your life, there are other very important aspects of your life.
