Hello CC community!

While searching for summer programs, I realized CC focused a lot on RSI, TASP, etc. However, there are some other great opportunities that haven't been mentioned frequently on CC:

Cornell RABS
Research Apprenticeship in Biological Sciences (RABS) / Programs / Cornell Summer College

Stanford (RISE, Earth Sciences Internship, Medical Youth Science)
Programs for High School Students

If you are interested, I highly encourage you to apply!

I did the Earth Sciences internship (Earth Sciences High School Internship Program) the summer before my freshman year. I applied for the heck of it (didn't even have any EC's in middle school...lol) but got in anyway. (Maybe they just had a dearth of applications that year?)

I'm sure the program has become more selective within the past two years, but the trick to getting accepted is to meet the deadline, since the application window is only a month long.

I didn't find the program itself to be challenging (I helped grad researchers clean test tubes, make powerpoints, and shred papers), it was a gateway for better opportunities later on: once people heard I had research experience from Stanford, I easily received lab internships later on.

So, just in case you were interested! Good luck!
