Undergrad School - UWSP

Hello everyone, This is my first post so I hope I didn't miss any of the info on another post.

I live in a small town in wisconsin, Stevens Point. It has a state university here that is a branch off the UW system. UWSP is a school of 8,000 students and our town is only about 40,000. For the longest while I really felt I wanted to go to University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, as my mom had gone there and my Dad lives there (parents seperated) but now I really am thinking UWSP. My only concern with UWSP is its not at all a competitive school, you could prob. get in with a 2.9 and a 20 on your ACT's. Even with this in mind, its "Nationally Known" for its natural and biological sciences. I'm planning on majoring in Biology and will be taking a biology class there anyway (senior year highschool, i'm in 10th grade now.) so i see it more fit to go to this college. I'm in 10th grade now with a 3.82 cum and i'm taking 4 science classes next year (ahhh i'm scared). So basicly i'm wondering if going to UWSP will hinder my chances of acceptance, I know college GPA and MCAT are huge parts but will they even seriously look at me if i'm coming from UWSP? I know a few students have done it and UWSP has a premed club of students. If UWSP would be to low of a school I was thinking of Lawrence university in appleton, They have a pretty good reputation I hear and my uncle went there too.

Also, here is a little more about me.
