anyone know any success stories to top programs or what it would take?

Did you cure cancer for your senior project?

I don't recommend it... you can really tell (in classrooms and otherwise) when someone has not worked full-time.

I don't know what it takes but I read (on these forums) that MBA is mostly discussions and you need experience to do well in getting your MBA.

Even if you were granted admission to an MBA program straight out of undergrad, I would not recommend going straight through. Among other things (and these things have been much discussed on this board in the past), you will likely not benefit as much from classroom discussion, which is often based upon applying new learnings to past experiences, you may have a difficult time relating to/impressing your classmates due to your lack of experience (and since meeting people/making contacts/networking is one of the most often cited reasons for going to business school, this one may really hurt you) and you will certainly be at a significant disadvantage in the hiring process when you are being compared against your more seasoned classmates.

Yup... as soon as you get 1-2 years of experience, apply as soon as possible.....
