Undergraduate accounting at Emory

I want to major in accounting, but I'm not sure whether or not I can do so at Emory. Is the BBA in accounting the same thing as an accounting major?

Also, I know that Emory's undergraduate business school is ranked pretty high, but I never see how high its accounting program is ranked. Does anyone know if it's any good?

…can someone please just say something?

It’s the same. Accounting is pretty much accounting anywhere you take it but Emory does have a nice network.

You would have a degree in Accounting from Emory University. It would be through Goizueta Business School and not Emory College of Arts and Sciences. To get there, you will need to transfer to Goizueta, so be sure to meet all the pre-requisites for that transfer. The transfer normally occurs after two years at Emory College but I have heard of students doing it on a different schedule.

Thanks a lot!!!

Oh, and another quick question: can people from Oxford transfer straight into Goizueta or does it have to be through Emory College of Arts and Sciences?

You can transfer straight to the b-school.

From what I have heard from accounting majors, as long as you have over a 3.4 in the bschool (With a concentration in accounting) you are almost guaranteed to be hired by the big 4 accounting firms
