About how long does it usually take for them to respond to e-mail questions? I want to know whether or not I can swap the graded essay I already submitted with one that fits their criteria much better, and I want to do it as soon as possible. Should I just go ahead and upload my new essay in the portal or should I wait until they respond? I don’t want it to be too late if I had the ability.
You might want to simply send the essay as an update rather than asking to swap. Naturally a swap essentially entails you getting an extension others didn’t get. And it does not bode well in terms of your willingness to conform to the rules others are held to.
@lostaccount Yeah, but I already uploaded a graded essay and submitted it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t expository, so I got one that was. I already e-mailed asking if there was any way I could upload my expository one, so I don’t know what I can do since I already did that.
I originally submitted a graded paper that was not expository, so I e-mailed Princeton admissions to find out whether or not I could swap or do anything about it. It’s been three days, so I just decided to upload my graded paper that is expository through the application portal because I didn’t want to wait too long. Now I have two graded essays, or so I think. I don’t know whether or not both of them are included or if I was able to swap them. One is titled Princeton Graded Essay, while the other is titled Princeton Expository Essay. Should I e-mail admissions again to let them know? Also, I did not submit my reference number in my original e-mail because I’m an idiot and can’t read, so I don’t know whether or not they could find me. I only e-mailed my name and common app ID in the original.
