Does anyone know any schools with very good undergraduate anthropology departments preferably out west, for example Stanford, and UCSD

While it doesn't meet your west coast requirement, UChicago is excellent for undergrad Anthropology.

Out west, Arizona, Cal, Pomona College, Stanford and UCLA are all excellent in Anthro.

Just go to the best overall school possible. Anthro isn't a major where departmental rank matters.
